The Ultimate Sunday Routine for Resetting Your Life + FREE CHECKLIST

Updated: Dec 20, 2021

Everyone, have a wonderful Monday. Today’s topic is about starting a new week or day by renewing and rejuvenating. Having a successful week is crucial when it comes to having a Sunday ritual. I’ll go over my own Sunday regimen and provide you with a checklist, so you can construct your own!

It’s a “me day” on Sunday. It’s one of those days when I get to sleep in, stay at home, pamper myself, relax, and do nothing. It’s my most favorite day of the year! In my opinion, everyone should have a day like this. I’ll explain what I do to reboot and refresh, as well as some alternative suggestions that could work better for your plan or routine. Remember that everyone is on their path, and their daily routine may differ from yours. To make your own flawless Sunday routine, feel free to add or remove items.

Ideal Sunday Routine

1. Brain Dump

It’s a Sunday morning, and you’ve slept in a little longer than usual. Then your mind starts racing, and you start thinking about everything you need to get done for the week: what’s for supper when is that report due, and how you’re going to get it all done. Don’t be alarmed, brain dump.

Take out a piece of paper, a journal, or your phone’s notes and jot down everything that comes to mind. To be sure, make a note of it. It feels like it’s left the mind and is kept somewhere else once it’s on paper. You’ll feel relieved almost instantly.

2. Make a Weekly Schedule

Now that you’ve seen the list, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed, but remember that you’re the boss, and you get everything done. Open your planner, Google Calendar, or whichever system you use to keep track of things. It is how I keep myself in order.

Review your list and prioritize which things must be completed first, scheduling the most important tasks at the beginning of the week and the least important tasks at the conclusion. Try to complete the activities you despise first, so they’re out of the way, and you won’t have to think about them the rest of the week!

3. Chores, Chores, Chores

I hate them, but it has to get done. To make your life easier, try writing down a list of chores that need to be done every week, biweekly, and monthly. It will help you remember what needs to be done and what doesn’t.

4. Meal Preparation

Okay, no one has time to plan meals for every day of the week (though if you do, kudos to you!). Make a dinner that will last two or three evenings, prepare snacks for the week, or roast an entire tray of vegetables for the week! It’s so you won’t be stressed or overwhelmed as the week begins.

5. Routine of pampering

Now that the difficult part is over, it’s time for you to shine. Exfoliate, shave, apply a hair mask, and hydrate after a hot shower or bath with a bath bomb or shower spray. Let’s be honest here; there’s nothing like a full-on pampering session on a Sunday night. It makes me feel like a completely different person! Finish it up with your skincare routine, and you’ll feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle the week ahead.

6. Charge all of your electronic devices.

Make sure all of your devices are prepared to go now that you’ve taken care of yourself. Start charging your laptop, Apple Watch, AirPods, Fitbit, tablet, iPad, Bluetooth speaker, and other electronic devices. I incorporated this into my Sunday routine since I despise it when I need something like my Fitbit to work out, and it’s dead! Electronics, too, require recharging. lol

7. Take it easy and do nothing.

Doing nothing is my absolute favorite time of the day. It’s now time to unwind. Turn on some Netflix, pour yourself a glass of wine or tea, and relax on the couch. Your body is in desperate need of rest, and believe me, it is well deserved!

If you’re scrolling through Instagram, watching television, or resting, don’t feel awful. During the week, we did all the heavy lifting, completed our to-do lists, and completed our tasks. It could wait until tomorrow if you didn’t. Don’t be concerned!

Now is the time to unwind, rejuvenate, and enjoy some “you” time.
